For the last decade, two physical practices have significantly intertwined themselves in my life - the Feldenkrais Method and Bowspring - technology systems that improve how we function. Both practices work with the nervous system to reshape and align our bodies for increased flexibility, function and vitality. Through these two methods, I have been able to reprogram habitual patterns of movement, thought and behaviour. It was very early on in my own experience with the Feldenkrais method that I began to notice significant changes in the way I felt inside of myself and how I was able to communicate and conduct myself in the world.

The Source of Leadership
Physically and structurally I was more at ease and experienced an increased range of flexibility and stability. What clients share about their own experiences include a strengthened sense of self, focus, confidence and clarity. An openness and grace emerges while not compromising the action required in their roles as leaders.
Between the work at my clinic and coaching leaders and teams, I soon realized that I was working in a very similar way. Both practices involve creating an environment for people to learn and attend, while working with the nervous system to further develop a level of awareness to access their own wisdom to choose what is next.. The combination of blending this practice with coaching and leadership has lent itself to powerful outcomes in work, and most importantly, how people experience themselves and position others to be successful with a combination of candour and grace.
The Source of Leadership
This is an experiential workshop where you will gently engage with the practice of attending, deepening your awareness and connection to your potential. When we attend to our movements, breath and thought patterns, we invite our nervous system to engage with new possibilities for self organization, which in turn has an impact on how we prepare as leaders to engage with the people and work we are accountable for. Moshe Feldenkrais use to say "flexible bodies, flexible minds". We will experience this as a possibility as the motor cortex reorganizes itself for improved function, with the limbic system, the emotional centre of the brain, receiving benefits as well. Clients often describe that they are left feeling more at ease, clear, and have access to a part of themselves that feels solid and provides stability - physically and emotionally.
What if by starting with our body, our capacity is amplified? What if we feel stronger and clearer in our approach with less effort? Who do you want to bring into the room each day, each meeting, each interaction?
I am looking forward to sharing this area of work with you as it has had such a profound impact on me, my own leadership, as well as my own capacity to show up with other leaders, tapping into the potential that is theirs.
